Home Instead’s commitment to quality and safety

We are fully committed to the wellbeing, safeguarding and security of our clients. That’s why Garda vetting is a critical element of our recruitment process.

Home Instead’s commitment to quality and safety

All our CAREGivers are Garda-vetted, and if they have lived or worked abroad, they need to provide international police clearance, before they are employed with us, and start working with any client.

Our industry body, Home & Community Care Ireland (HCCI), helps us to effectively and efficiently process Garda-vetting applications.

Any applicant who has lived outside Ireland for a period of six months or more at any time from the age of 16 must also provide an international police clearance certificate.

Our selection and hiring processes, and our robust Garda vetting / police clearance processes are tried, tested, and continually enhanced in line with the evolving requirements of the home care sector.

These processes stem from our global standards but are adapted to Irish best-practice and are overseen and monitored by our National Clinical Lead and our Compliance Department.
