Home Instead Donegal is helping to support local health agencies in getting the message on safety out into communities in the run-up to Christmas, through its #StepUpForDonegal campaign.
“Our CAREGivers and frontline workers step up every day to take care of their clients in the community, they adhere to the guidelines and limit their actions to keep everyone safe,” says Martin Murphy, Owner of Letterkenny-based Home Instead Donegal.
“Through #StepUpForDonegal, we are asking the community to celebrate safely and continue to comply with Public Health Guidelines so that we can all enjoy a great Christmas. We are calling on members of the public to share a video or message on their social media, using the hashtag #StepUpForDonegal.
“Many of our own CAREGivers have created their own video messages of Christmas cheer, asking the community to do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe,” Martin adds.
‘Empathy and care’
The news comes as Home Instead Donegal’s Liz McMenamin received the Ulster CAREGiver of the Year award from the company’s National Office. Liz received the award for going above and beyond in helping her clients throughout a very challenging year.
“Liz’s empathy and care for her clients make her very special. She cares for them as if they were members of her own family,” says Martin.
