Home Instead Senior Care Limerick is hosting a coffee morning at their office, in support of the Cups Against Breast Cancer campaign.
The event takes place on October 11, at Home Instead’s office on Fairgreen, Ballysimon Road, from 9am-12pm.
There’s no cost to attend the event – visitors are asked to make a small donation, which will go to the Irish Cancer Society to support their efforts to provide much-needed services to people affected by breast cancer.
Every day, eight women in Ireland are diagnosed with having breast cancer, according to the Irish Cancer Society.
The charity uses donations to fund a range of activities, for instance:
- €60 helps a patient or their family discuss their fears around diagnosis or treatment with a cancer nurse in a Daffodil Centre;
- €75 provides three people with in-depth consultations on the Irish Cancer Society’s cancer nurse line;
- €120 pays for five spill kits for volunteer drivers in the event a patient is ill in their car;
- €360 can give a family the care of an Irish Cancer Society night nurse in their home.
Home Instead Limerick looks forward to seeing you at the event.
