Home Instead Senior Care will host an Alzheimer’s and dementia care workshop this month on Tuesday, 26th June from 7-9pm at the Brewery Court, Brewery Road, Blackrock, Leopardstown location.
The workshop is a condensed version of the specialised training programme provided to it’s base of professional caregivers. The programme is accredited by the Alzheimer’s Association in the USA and global quality assurer, City & Guilds.
The workshop is complimentary and provides information for anyone caring for or supporting a person living with a dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. The two-hour workshop, including refreshments, brings an understanding of what dementia it is, its symptoms, keeping a person with dementia engaged and safe at home.
David Healy, Owner and Managing Director of Home Instead Senior Care commented, “Dementia can overwhelm not only the person living with the disease, but also family and friends. If you would like to gain more of an understanding of dementia, in a supportive environment, we welcome you to attend this important workshop”.
