Success for Home Instead Senior Care in Tipperary!

Jul 13, 2011

Success stories are always good news, and the success of a Thurles-based home care organisation is good news not only for the business but for the people in Tipperary it has been able to help after a few years in business.

Home Instead Senior Care was launched in 2008 and the response to the organisation’s home care service offering has increased significantly year on year. Owner and Managing Director Michael Wright said: “We now have over 50 clients in Tipperary and have grown to a team of 70 including local CAREgivers and office staff, offering everything from round-the-clock care to just an hour or two a week”.

“Helping people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible is a very rewarding and worthwhile thing to do.” continued Michael Wright. “As we have grown, we have been able to expand our training programme for our CAREgivers, so that now our caregivers have specialist training in conditions such as dementia and arthritis, and also learn care skills accredited to Fetac Level 5 standard.”

Home Instead CAREgivers are professionally trained, insured, thoroughly screened, Garda checked and matched to meet client’s needs. This means Home Instead Senior CAREGivers are provided with the latest in education and home care techniques, so Tipperary families can be assured their loved one is being care for by a  trusted professional.

Home Instead Senior Care is also committed to helping families better understand issues such as arthritis and dementia and has therefore produced a range of information guides on senior care issues. For example, a new booklet is available to help family caregivers better understand dementia. Entitled, 'Dementia Care at Home: A Guide for Family CAREGivers, the booklet explains the different forms of dementia and advises carers how to manage stress.
