Home Care Services and Supports

Relationship-based Care

Countless families in Ireland have trusted Home Instead to provide their loved ones with relationship-based care.

We offer relationship-based, flexible care plans which are determined through a close consultation process with the family members, and can range from 1 to 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year.

Contracted hours can move up and down, depending on you and your loved one’s needs.

You can reduce the cost of care through the State’s Home Care Tax Relief Scheme.

Our CAREGivers are fully trained, Garda-vetted, experienced and insured.

They are compassionate and caring individuals who will provide your loved one with an exceptional level of care.

HSE Home Support Services

If your loved one qualifies for HSE Home Support Services, they are entitled to certain support with everyday tasks such as personal care.

HSE Home Support Services are available to people aged 65 or over, who may require support to continue living at home or to return home following a hospital stay.

The number of hours and the type of care are determined through an assessment by the local public health nurse, and provided based on needs.

We can deliver Home Support Services on behalf of the HSE in every county in the State, so you can choose us to provide your loved one’s care, wherever you might live.

Consumer Directed Home Care (CDHS)

CDHS is funded by the HSE in the same way as other Home Support Services, but you decide when you want the care to be provided, and what kind of care you get.

If you or your loved one needs Home Support Services, CDHS allows you to choose the services according to your needs and lifestyle, so you get the support you need, when you need it most.

This gives families additional peace of mind, while care recipients can enjoy enhanced care outcomes through this flexible approach.

Get our brochure to find out how it works and how you can apply, or enquire now to talk to a member of our staff.

Supplementing your HSE Home Support Services

Many families supplement their HSE Home Support Services with additional private care services also provided by Home Instead.

This ensures your loved one receives a relationship-based, more flexible care service, and you can reduce any additional cost through the State’s Home Care tax relief scheme.

Live-in Care Services

Our Live-in CAREGiver will ‘cocoon’ with your loved one, providing continuity of care, peace of mind and companionship in time of need.

They’ll carry out a Care Plan that includes mental and physical exercise so that your loved one stays well in a time when opportunities for social activities are limited.

Our local Home Instead office will operate a delivery service for shopping and other essentials.
