This week is National Carers Week (10th – 16th June) and with 270,000 adults over the age of 15, describing themselves as carers, it is very important that carers look after themselves. Many worry about handling all the demands on their time and energy – work, caring for elderly loved ones, their own family and – hopefully - trying to find time for friends and importantly some ‘me-time.’
Home Instead Senior Care has a series of short videos on how to achieve a work/care balance - You can check them out here.
Home Instead Senior Care, Ireland has a free information guide aimed specifically at family carers. “Running on Empty – who cares for the CAREGivers?” This Guide offers insights and information on coping with the stresses that caring inevitably brings.
