Dementia Care Resources

Caring for an older loved one who is living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia can be challenging and can result in physical and emotional stress.

Dementia Care Resources

That's why we at Home Instead have created a series of resources covering many different aspects of dementia care at home, and we've made these available for family carers to access, free of charge.

We have been providing dementia care in communities for years, and we've worked with top research bodies on dementia care.

Our CAREGivers receive City & Guilds-accredited dementia care training, and we've also adapted these courses for family carers to use.

Every September, during World Alzheimer's Month, our local offices host Dementia Care Training Sessions, where family members are invited to participate in dementia care training.

And we are strong supporters of public education and awareness on dementia, partnering with leading organisations in this space.

Check out our series of free dementia care resources below. We hope you find them useful.

Family carer dementia workshops

Family carer dementia workshops

Each September, our local offices host specialist Dementia Workshops, where we provide the public with free training in best-practice knowledge and techniques in dementia care.

We have created an online version of the workshop, so that you can learn from our dementia experts, improve your understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and better connect with family members living with dementia through individualised support and engagement each day.

Access these courses at the links below.
