Minister for Education & Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD, Helps Home Instead Senior Care Set Industry Training Standards
24/10/2011 00:43:28
Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD, recently presented certificates in Fetac 5 Practical Home Care Skills to a number of Home Instead CAREGivers. The course was provided by Home Instead Senior Care to ensure seniors in the local community receive a quality home care service.
Unlike other home care providers, Home Instead caregivers complete a comprehensive training programme including the FETAC Level 5 course, specialist Alzheimer’s and Arthritis care and palliative care. Experts such as St James Dementia Services, Arthritis Ireland and Our Lady’s Hospice are some of the organisations that train Home Instead caregivers.
“Congratulations to our most recent caregiver graduates. At Home Instead Senior care we believe empowering caregivers with knowledge through training allows us to make a difference in the lives of seniors in the local community. I am delighted Minister Quinn was able to attend the graduation ceremony and help celebrate the achievements of local caregivers”, said Ed Murphy, Chief Executive of Home Instead Senior Care.
