New guide to Memory Clinics available for healthcare professionals and family caregivers

A new guide to Memory Clinics in Ireland has been published to provide up to date information on Memory Clinics. The new guide has been sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care and provides a list of all the Memory Clinic services available in Ireland.
Memory Clinics are primarily concerned with the early diagnosis and treatment of memory problems such as dementia. The services offered by Memory Clinics include assessment, diagnostic treatment and information services to those concerned about their memory. An individual is usually referred to a Memory Clinic by their GP or other medical doctor.
Speaking about the new guide to Memory Clinics in Ireland, Ed Murphy of Home Instead Senior Care said: "It is estimated that there will be between 80,000 and 100,000 people with dementia over the next thirty years making it one of the greatest challenges of the twenty first century.
