Understanding dementia

The Friends of St. Patrick’s Hospital recently hosted an information evening titled “Understanding Dementia and challenging behaviours that can arise”.

Hosted by Barbara Murphy, Director of Nursing at St. Patrick’s Hospital, the topics included: person centred care approaches, communication strategies and understanding and managing challenging behaviour.
Keynote speaker Joanne Flood, RPN, MSc in Dementia, addressed the large attendance of staff, healthcare workers, carers and family on the evening.

    Would like to understand more with pravtice about caring dimentia people.I work as a carer but would like to know more about dimentia people. I love looking after elders and would be happy to know more about them
